The Care Ritual

An abaya is a delicate investment. To preserve the intricate beadwork and the soft luster of the fabric, we recommend a gentle care ritual.

I. The Hand Wash (Recommended)

To maintain the artisanal details, hand washing is the gold standard.

  1. Submerge: Fill a basin with cool water and a drop of mild detergent.

  2. Cleanse: Gently swirl the garment. Avoid scrubbing or wringing, especially near the embellishments.

  3. Rinse: Use fresh, cold water until the fabric is clear.

  4. Dry: Gently press out excess water (do not twist) and hang immediately on a sturdy hanger to air dry.

II. Machine Care

If you must use a machine, ensure it is only for non-embellished pieces.

  • Use a Delicate Cycle at a maximum of 30°C.

  • Always wash the garment inside out in a protective laundry bag.

  • Avoid the tumble dryer at all costs; heat will damage the fibers and the finish.

III. Steaming & Storage

  • Steam: We recommend using a garment steamer on a low setting to remove creases while preserving the fabric's integrity.

  • Store: Keep your abaya on a hanger in a cool, dry place to maintain its natural flow.

How long does it take to process orders?

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days.

Orders placed on weekends or after Friday cut-off will begin processing on Monday.

Once shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number.

Can I change or cancel my order?

You may request a cancellation within a few hours of placing your order.

Once your order has been shipped, changes or cancellations are no longer possible.

Cancellations can be requested via your Ghismaé account.

How much does the shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based on your location. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase. Shipping is free for orders over €150

Where can I track my order?

After dispatch, you will receive an email with your tracking information.

Can I return a product?

Yes. Ghismaé accepts returns within 14 days, provided the item is:

New, Unworn, unwashed, and unaltered. With all original tags attached FINAL SALE items are not eligible for return.
